All Good Things must come to an end
For many reasons, I have decided to close the current incarnation of Yarn & Coffee. Our lease at 1836B Cerrillos Road expires on March 31st. What does that mean? Yarn & Coffee, at its Cerrillos Road location, will close. There will be lots of sales and discounts happening over the next few months. The store inventory will dwindle, but I will still be able to order select items for you (yarn, accessories, needles, hooks). We will continue, throughout our transition, to offer space for our wonderful stitching groups, who meet on Mondays and Wednesdays. And we will continue to collect and distribute warm clothes, yarn, and books. Yarn & Coffee will evolve and move on to its next chapter.
I am grateful for many things.
Group attenders. Yarn lovers. Idea sharers. Visitors from afar. Visitors from nearby. Creative enthusiasm. New friends and old friends. Learning new things every day. The wonder of fiber. Our generous activist community.
Please continue to support your local small businesses.
And stay tuned.
What Happens Next?
We will have our usual Boxing Day Sale, to reduce inventory for end-of-year counting (maybe we'll even start early). We will be closed for the first week of January to complete our annual inventory count and prepare for our closing sales. All sales will be in-store only. We will have a progressive sale (25%, 30%, etc.) on yarn, needles, accessories, books, and all other inventory. Starting in mid-February, we will have a sale on fixtures—shelves, furniture, display racks, etc. We will no longer be able to accept returns or exchanges of any kind. All sales will be final.
What will happen to the newsletter and mailing list?
You have received this special news blast because you are subscribed to our mailing list. If you would like to continue to receive our newsletter, through which we will keep you updated on various Yarn & Coffee goings on, do nothing. We will continue to send out newsletters or updates to our subscribers. If you would prefer not to follow our developments, you can unsubscribe below—no hard feelings; for some of you, the store is its own being, and once it’s gone, our news doesn’t mean as much.
What’s happening to the Frequent Fiber rewards program?
The program will cease operation (you will no longer accrue points). However, when you make your next purchase, you can request that we check to see if you have points available to be redeemed—that would be any amount over 200 points. The points have no monetary value; any amount below 200 points is not redeemable.
What About Gift Certificates?
Please take advantage of our sales, starting on Boxing Day (December 26th) to get the most out of your gift certificate. If you know anyone with an outstanding gift certificate who is not on our mailing list, please pass the word!
You are invited to come knit or crochet anytime, during regular business hours.
Call us if you have questions.
